DVSA is asking garages and testers to check and update their contact and other details ahead of the switchover to the new MOT testing system in 2015.
We need to make sure you and your site are ready to move to the new system and, at the same time, keep you all up to date with the latest news about MOT Modernisation.
In order to make this process as smooth as possible we’re asking you to check and update some of your details we have on file.
Updating your VTS device details
First of all, we want you enter your current contact details into your VTS device as soon as possible so we’ve got your correct email address and telephone number.
This is so, over the coming months, we can make sure all authorised examiners (AEs) and Nominated Testers (NTs) are ready to make the move over to the new system.
To check your VTS details are up to date and correct please read our new MOT Modernisation: update your VTS device details guidance on GOV.UK.
Adding your ‘User ID’ to your DVSA Direct profile
If you’ve signed up for Matters of Testing email alerts, we’re also asking you to add your VTS device 'User ID' to your alerts profile.
This is to make sure you get the latest updates about MOT Modernisation and upcoming changes to the MOT scheme, ahead of the new system going live next year.
To add your 'User ID' to your profile please read our Add or update your MOT details guidance on GOV.UK.
If you have questions about the new testing system and MOT Modernisation please email your queries to mot.modernisation@vosa.gsi.gov.uk.
