At first sight this tyre may appear flat, but Vaughan Shacklock from Southdale Service Station in Lincolnshire assures us it is not and was in use only an hour before being presented for test. Fitted to the nearside front of a Mazda MX3 the owner when shown said "ah yes, it did wobble a bit around Eighty!”
Vaughan spotted this before he jacked the vehicle to reveal the full extent of the damage. This is a clear example of the failure of a tyres structure causing a bulge, or in this case many bulges, and a failure under 4.1 D1b (tyre has: lump, bulge or tear caused by separation or partial failure of its structure).
