Confirm you’re ready to switch to new MOT testing system

DVSA will be emailing an online survey to all single-site authorised examiners (AEs) week commencing Monday 24 November 2014.

This is to help check whether you have the right IT equipment and are ready to switch over to the new testing system in 2015.

This follows our October request to update your VTS contact details which resulted in over 5,000 AEs updating their email addresses.

The survey will be first sent to single-site AEs who’ve given us their email address while we’ll contact multi-site AEs - and those who’ve not registered an email address - ahead of the switchover process starting in April 2015.

Receive the survey

An initial survey pilot revealed that 96% of AEs who responded are already ready to move to the new system next year.

To get the survey to let us know you’re ready to switch, please check and update your email address in your VTS device or add one if you don’t already have one listed. If you’ve already completed the survey then you DO NOT have to do so again.

Your registered email will also be used to send you key information about the switchover process including your switchover date for 2015.

Update your details

To check your VTS details are up to date and correct please read our MOT Modernisation: update your VTS device details guidance on GOV.UK.

If you have any problems updating your email please DO NOT contact your Area Office, the DVSA Customer Service Centre or Atos Helpdesk. They will not be able to answer your questions.

Instead, please email any queries or any other feedback to mot.modernisation@vosa.gsi.gov.uk and we’ll get back in touch as soon as we are able.
