How did we do?

VOSA often conduct independent surveys of MOT garages to get feedback from every type of MOT garage on how well the current MOT service is operating. The last survey interviewed 500 garages with a sample that represented AEs and testers from small one man independents through to large main agent/franchises.

The expertise of a market research company was used to conduct the interviews. These surveys have an important role in ensuring that future plans are fully informed by customer feedback.

The results of the last survey have just been presented at VOSA and report a 97% satisfaction with the MOT service. It displayed some interesting results of garages views on:

- managing quality of MOT and addressing non compliance
- use of IT in the business
- plans to move the MOT computerisation system to a web based service
- training options
- how well VOSA communicates to MOT customers
