We have been talking with EU colleagues about defects hidden from a tester's view, normally by acoustic shielding (over or under trays).
It would be very helpful if we could show this problem in words and pictures. If you find a defect behind these shields while you're repairing a car and you don't think you would have seen it in a normal MOT test, please take a photo and email it to us. Make sure to include a short description and the vehicle details. We will use a selection of the best in a paper for wider EU consideration.
