DVSA is on track to roll-out the new web-based MOT testing system between April and August 2015.We’re making good progress finalising the ‘testing’ part of the new system, which will be rolled out step-by-step from April 2015.

For a while now, ‘items not tested’ on MOT Comp has caused some confusion for testers. As a feature which was originally built to be used only by Vehicle Examiners, it was also being used by Nominated testers. This wasn’t the intended use and we’ve decided to simplify the rules.
DVSA is building a new ‘web-based’ MOT testing system to replace MOT Comp in 2015. Over the course of 2015, all VTS devices will be turned off and you’ll all need to have the right IT equipment in place in order to access the new system and carry on testing.
