It’s been a busy few weeks since my last blog post, so now’s a good time to update you on what we’ve been up to since.
A vehicle that needs a particulate filter and doesn’t have one should fail its MOT. If you pass it knowing that it doesn’t have one, you’re harming the environment and committing fraud.

We’re developing an MOT reminder service to help vehicle owners get their vehicle tested on time as part of our strategy to help people keep their vehicle safe to drive.
You told us you wanted to know more about what we’re adding to the MOT testing service and what happens when it’s taken offline in the evenings. So, this will be the first in a series of regular blogs that looks at what we've been working on behind the scenes.
So, the first year of annual MOT training came to an end in April and was a big success. I’m delighted to see over 99% of you completed your MOT annual assessment. A massive well done to you all!

Anyone attempting to defraud the MOT isn’t just committing fraud, they’re also putting the public at risk by allowing what could be an unsafe vehicle onto the road.
Everyone involved in the MOT industry has a part to play in maintaining testing standards. By working together we’re all making sure that the vehicles on our roads are safe.
